Bucerotiformes

This order includes hornbills, green wood hoopoes and hoopoes. Most of these birds have a well-developed beak, and hornbills have a hollow casque which serves as a resonance chamber, among other things. Some birds, such as ground hornbills, are large birds, measuring up to 120 cm. They used to be grouped with Coraciiformes in the order Coraciadiformes.
