Phaetoniformes

The order includes all species of phaetons, also known as straw-tails. They were once included in the order Pelecaniformes, which contained both cormorants, gannets, frigates, but also pelicans, herons, and storks before it was divided. Straw-tails derive their name from the fact they have long tail feathers. They are seabirds living in tropical oceanic areas. After the eggs are laid, the two parents take turns in brooding.
