Suliformes

This order includes cormorants, anhingas, gannets and frigates. It was created on the basis of new molecular data. They were formerly included in the order Pelecaniformes, now remaned (pelicans, herons, savacous, ibises, bitterns, graylings) which also included phaetons (Phaetoniformes). These are birds that live in aquatic environments, are fish-eaters, and have legs known as totipalms. This is because the webbing covers all four fingers. The Suliformes are the sister group to the Pelecaniformes.
